Spring is (almost) in the air and the members have been fixing up the garden in preparation. New wooden planks donated to the garden have been used to repair one of the beds, Pat has been working diligently on the willow fencing and some lovely pine tree wood chip has helped spruce the paths up. And yes, that pun was intended.
There's some rhubarb on the go and Kerr Pink potatoes were added recently too. This year the garden could do with donations of the following vegetables:
Purple Sprouting Broccoli
Any other vegetable that takes your fancy is welcome! As always, pop by at noon on Saturday or Sundays to say hi, weather permitting.
On 15th October 2016, Eithne Bentley passed away. Eithne was a core member of the group who gave great advice over the years on what to plant in the garden. Eithne was well liked and is deeply missed.
One year on in her honour, a tree planting ceremony took place along with some of her ashes. These trees will continue to remind everyone of what a part of
the spirit of the garden she was and is.
